“Dolce Suono” (“The Sweet Sound”) is the incipit of the recitativo of a scena ed aria taken from Act III scene 2, Lucia di Lammermoor by Gaetano Donizetti. It is also known as the “mad scene”, sung by the leading soprano, Lucia. This aria is one of the masterpieces of the italian repertoire from belcanto.
By naming our duo after this fenomenal work , we would like to honor the Great Italian Masters that gave birth to Opera as we know it.

“Music expresses that which cannot be put into words and that which cannot remain silent”
